Patterned Fabric for that Wow Effect
Before you select your fabric, consider the personality of your dining room. Is it formal, modern, vintage, shabby chic, or a unique combination? Are your walls painted or papered?
All of this matters when selecting fabric with a pattern. Dining Rooms with walls painted in deep tones can be lightened and elevated with brightly patterned fabrics. While lighter walls can be brought to life with a dark, rich pattern. And no need to shy away from using patterned fabric with wallpapered walls. Our interior design experts can help you find a fabric that subtly corresponds with your papered walls. Whichever way you go, patterned curtains are always a showstopper and easy to mix and match with dining wear.

Elevate the Eye with Curtains to the Sky
It's a traditional practice to hang curtains a few to several inches from the top of the window. This causes the eye to move upward and makes your room feel larger and your ceilings higher. Consider going higher if you want to add even more drama with height— this method works exceptionally well with white, light sheers by adding an overall formal flow. You can always hang your curtains from ceiling to floor for an extra dramatic impact.
A Calming Dining Experience
If your aim is to create a soothing dining room for quiet conversation and elegance, then matching your drapes to match the color of your walls can achieve that effect. Sheers a shade or two darker than neutral walls or white sheers against white walls will always provide a design that is easy on the eyes.
